30 Ft. Dam

Second Dam Then
Second Dam Now

“In 1902, the Ithaca Water Co., in order to get a larger storage supply of water, made plans to build a 90 Ft. Dam just outside the City on Six Mile Creek. This was later reduced to 30 feet and is known now as the ‘30 Ft. Dam.’ From it a 24″ pipe line was laid to Van Nattas Pumping Station.”1

Nowadays, walkers along the Mulholland Wildflower Garden’s Greenway Trail can see this dam at the end of the maintained trails along the creek.
